Last summer Theo Eisenstein, a new graduate of New Trier High School, dropped in to our Hibbard Library to see if he might be of help over the summer. His first project was to help sort and organize vintage newspapers and other documents which had accumulated over many years in the basement of the library. Theo now assists in the library on a regular basis, planning his volunteer time around his college classes. His many ideas and suggestions are very welcome. It's a great pleasure to have him with us. Lauren Dod, a sixth grader at Field Middle School, has become one of our most enthusiastic docents at the Farmhouse Museum. Her boundless enthusiasm, remarkable interest in history and terrific ideas are an ongoing source of delight to all. The adult docents who volunteer with her have to work hard to keep up and enjoy every minute of it.
