Mary Melzer, who served as our curator for several years, passed away in September. In keeping with Mary’s kindness and concern for others, her family designated that memorials be directed to the History Center. We continue to feel her loss deeply.
Jim Smirles, Village President for many years, passed away suddenly in November. Jim served as Glenview Area Historical Society president during the early 1980s and remained a good friend of the History Center. He will forever be remembered by the entire community.
